Preventative Botox, done conservatively
South Jordan and Daybreak skew young, and a lot of the questions I get from this side of the valley are about starting early. Here is the honest version.
Worth knowing in South Jordan
Starting early is reasonable. Starting heavy is not.
Preventative treatment has a sound rationale. Lines become etched over years of repeated folding, and reducing how hard a muscle folds the skin slows that process. That is not marketing, it is the same mechanism behind every other use of neurotoxin.
What gets oversold is the dose. A face in its twenties or early thirties usually needs noticeably less than a face that has been folding for two more decades, and the most common mistake I see in younger patients is treatment planned as though they were older. The result is a smooth forehead, a heavier brow, and a face that reads slightly wrong without anyone being able to say why.
Conservative first treatment, reviewed at two weeks, adjusted if it needs it. That is not caution for its own sake. It is far easier to add than to wait out a result that went too far.

South Jordan questions
What age should I start Botox?
There is no correct age. The useful signal is whether lines are still only there when you move, or whether they have started to stay when your face is at rest. Once a line is visible at rest it is becoming etched, and that is the point where treatment changes the trajectory rather than just the appearance.
Will starting young mean I need more later?
The opposite tends to be true. Muscles that are treated regularly do less work and often need less product over time, not more. What increases need is untreated years of folding.
How many units does a first treatment usually take?
It depends entirely on muscle strength, which is why nobody should quote you a number before looking at your face. Strong muscles can need roughly double what weaker ones need for the same visible result.
