Botox for Alpine, including the results you already have

I treat in Lehi on Fridays, about twenty minutes down the hill. A meaningful share of what I see is not a first treatment. It is someone trying to understand one they already had.

Worth knowing before you book

A result you dislike is a diagnosis, not a waiting game

The standard advice for a neurotoxin result that went wrong is to wait it out, and for some situations that really is the answer. But “wait three months” is often given as a substitute for working out what happened, which is a different thing, and far less useful.

A heavy brow, a surprised arch, an eyebrow that sits higher on one side, a forehead that went completely still while the brows dropped. These have specific causes in specific muscles, and they are generally readable from the face in front of you if someone knows what to look for. Knowing the cause matters even when the treatment is time, because it determines what should be done differently next time and, in some situations, what can be done now.

Brow position after upper face treatment is the specific problem I published on, in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. It is a common outcome, it is poorly explained to patients, and it is treated as bad luck far more often than it should be.

If you are in that position, bring whatever you know: which product, how many units, which areas, and photographs from before if you have them. The first appointment is about working out what happened, which is usually more useful than adding product on top of it.

Honest about timing

Sometimes the answer genuinely is to wait. You will be told why, not just told to.

Alpine questions

My brow feels heavy after Botox. Can it be fixed?

It depends on the cause, which is why the first step is working out what happened rather than reaching for a syringe. Some situations improve with carefully placed treatment of the muscles that pull the brow down; others genuinely need time. Being told which one you are in, and why, is reasonable to expect.

What should I bring to a second opinion appointment?

Whichever of these you have: the product used, the number of units, which areas were treated, the date, and photographs of your face before and after. Unit counts are the most useful single item. If you do not have any of it, come anyway.

How far is the Lehi clinic from Alpine?

About twenty minutes, down Alpine Highway and west on the Timpanogos Highway. The clinic is at 139 N Hunter’s Grove Ln, Suite 125 in Lehi, inside The Injector Collective.

Will you criticise my previous injector?

No. Most results that disappoint come from a reasonable plan meeting an anatomy that behaved differently than expected, which is a thing that happens to everyone who injects. What is useful is understanding it. What is not useful is blame.
